A blogger friend Azrael was a victim of a malicious post by some blogger who monitors the Cosplay events and stuff in the Philippines. The post was very malicious and bordering so much on slanderous and libelous. This blogger wrote like he know Azrael so much and his involvement in illegal stuff. I wouldn’t be affected if he got a tag in it that it was a satire post but it was not. I got so worked-up on that post that I told Azrael that he should file for a legal case, libel or slander since it was so obvious that the post was meant to humiliate him.
However, Azrael dissent and being the nice guy he was he said he will just ignore the post and continue doing what he loves to do, blog and organize some events. Some advised him not to file a case since this will set a bad precedent about blogger against blogger kind of thing. I guess they are afraid of some restrictions this will do on the blogosphere.
Maybe they are right but then again I think if worst comes to worst and this blogger continues to blog maliciously about other people he should be restrained or banned in a way. Lock his IP etc. I hope everyone finds out who this guy was since his identity was anonymous to everyone. Azrael said his friends are on a hunt already. I hope when he finds out who this guy is he should consult some lawyers and have a legal chat with them and get ready for a lawsuit of some sort including the other bloggers this blogger unconsientiously trashed in his blog.
