Orphan Movie Review

Photobucket

I give this movie a thumbs-up for the super thriller presentation it did.  It’s been a while since I watched a damn good horror film and I think this one broke the record.  It’s hard to suspect what is wrong with Esther, the Orphan, but definitely you will know there is something is wrong her.

If you like to jump off your seat, scream your lungs out and have fun watching at the same time this movie is something you should try not to miss.  I love how the movie goers during the premiere were so in to the every scene as it unfolds.  Everyone was watching every move, listening to every sound and are expecting to get frightened then laugh as a sigh of relief that there was no scary scene yet.

I had fun watching the movie.  There are some scenes that made me cover my eyes because I rather not see it happen but still peeking through a tiny hole in between my palm ‘coz you don’t want to miss a scene.  But definitely you will scream as you watch.  The men in the theater did!

Warning: This movie is not for kids.  Don’t let them watch this movie.

Characters to look out for aside from Ester is Max, a girl around 4-6 years old, I love the girl and her character!  It was fun to hear someone from the audience shout “Go girl!”

Synopsis:

The tragic loss of their unborn child has devastated Kate and John, taking a toll on both their marriage and Kate’s fragile psyche as she is plagued by nightmares and haunted by demons from her past. Struggling to regain some semblance of normalcy in their lives, the couple decides to adopt a child. At the local orphanage, both John and Kate find themselves strangely drawn to a young girl named Esther. Almost as soon as they welcome Esther into their home, however, an alarming series of events begins to unfold, leading Kate to believe that there’s something wrong with Esther–this seemingly angelic little girl is not what she appears to be. Concerned for the safety of her family, Kate tries to get John and others to see past Esther’s sweet facade. But her warnings go unheeded until it may be too late-for everyone.
