Gratitude Is The Best Attitude

September 15th, 2009

It’s 100 days before Christmas and before things get busy I want to say I Love You and Thank You to my family for being there for me always in spite of my short comings and crookedness. I am not saying this just so I can get nice gifts from them but my sincere way of telling them how much I appreciate their presence in my life. I want to thank my family for what they have and have not done for me.   I am not going to wait until they are gone because I already know the pain of loosing a family member and not being able to show my love and appreciation.  That  is something I will regret for the rest of my life.

As I have posted before in My Happiness Haven blog:  ”Gratitude is the best attitude. The best way to appreciate something you already have is to imagine yourself without them. Sometimes, we are caught up in the moment; we are always in a rush to do things that we take the simple things for granted.”

“If we want to be happy, we must learn and practice being appreciative of everyone around us. We must show gratitude to everyone. They don’t need to do anything bombastic for us to recognize them but the mere fact that they are present in our lives is enough to appreciate them.”

“Haven’t we all heard how one regrets not being able to say “I love you”, or “Thank You” to a loved one while they are still alive. How one cry over the grave of a loved one realizing it’s too late to appreciate them because they are gone wishing they are still alive so they can hear how worthy and valued they are in your lives.”

[...] Well-known author and life coach Zig Ziglar said: “Of all the ‘attitudes’ we can acquire, surely the attitude of gratitude is the most important and by far the most life-changing.” ( I personally believe this ergo this post I made “Gratitude for Attitude“) [...]
