FYI: post is photo rich
Plantation Bay Resort and Spa in Marigondon Cebu, Philippines was rated as one of the Top 100 Resorts in the world by Conde Nast Travel and I wouldn’t dispute this as this place is truly gorgeous. It is a half hour by land ride from Mactan International Airport.
I so adore the lovely fishpond right after the lobby adorned with two lovely capiz chandeliers. The gazebos are so beautiful and romantic, perfect for prenuptial photos.

There’s a lot of activities for everyone. You can go Kayaking, Jet Skiing, Diving, Boating, Fishing, have a relaxing time at the Spa (Mogambo Springs), Wall Climbing, spend time at the gym, while the kids do their own activities at the Children’s Center.
A day is not really enough to enjoy the 11 plus hectares of Plantation Bay but we were able to take a quick look around riding the electric jeep roaming around. We would have taken the carousel it was a hit and was loaded with passengers.

We didn’t stay at Plantation Bay but were lucky to enjoy a Day Trip there. Yes, they allow day trippers for Php2,000 ($45.00) adult and Php1,000 ($22.50) child. But there is a special price of Php1,500 per person for groups of 20 or more. Children below 3 years old are free of charge!
The day tripping fee includes free use of all amenities and a free lunch at Kilimanjaro Kafe. The lunch was filling and delicious. Consisting of a starter (bread and butter), appetizer, main course and desserts.

Changing room is near the gym and they will hand you your own towel too. Valuable such as cash and gadget are the only things allowed in the lockers.
You can choose to swim in the salt water lagoon, fresh water pool or at the beach.

I love the fresh water pool, its where we stayed mostly, water is just my neck deep about 4 feet, and there’s jacuzzi on all sides and a nice poolside bar.
The room prices are albeit expensive for an ordinary Juan, the cheapest they have is $150.00+++ a night good for 2 adults and 2 kids (additional $20 for excess up to 6 persons) while their most expensive lodging would be their villa with 4 detached bedrooms, private pool and gazebo and can accommodate up to 8 adults is $700+++ a night. (You can check out Plantation Bay’s webpage for detailed rates and services)

I’m glad I was able to spend a day in there, but honestly a day is not enough to visit everything in the map.

I would come back if I could but I will have to try some other famous resorts in Cebu for variety.

What other resorts in Cebu do you think I should see the next time I visit?
Stay gorgeous everyone!
