Last Thursday, I was invited for the opening of Mezza Norte at the UP-Ayala Technohub in Quezon City bringing the foodie experience from the Mercato Centrale in Taguig much closer to the people from the north of Metro Manila.
Albeit the heavy rains, Mezza Norte’s opening was a hit among the foodies from the North. This is just an overview of the crowd during that first night of the weekend night food market that is open every Thursdays to Saturdays from 6PM to 3AM.
Mezza Norte brings together unique food, drink, pastry and desserts from home-based businesses in Quezon City like Dadi’s Berd (charcoal grilled-chicke), Frisch’s Liquor Ice Cream, Macheesmo burgers, Sober club’s mocktails, Maria’s Ilocos Empanada, Med Chef’s pastries, Amangs Grill’s chicken and pork isaw and the favorite foodie finds from Mercato Centralle like Manang’s Chicke, Mochicko ice cream-filled mochi balls, Big Bob’s Freshly charcoal-grilled burgers, Merry Moo Artisan Ice Cream, Angus Beef Tapa, Mio Gelati, Bagwang’s thinly-sliced bagnet strips, Carlo’s Kitchen crunchy belly, Chef Resty’s roast beef and more!
I was only able to buy Med Chef’s pastry sold at Php140 for two! I got their best seller the Double Chocolate Moist Cake it’s so sinfully delicious and very yummily moist and the Red Velvet Cake!
I will come back to Mezza Norte tonight to try out the rest of the best sellers as I don’t have a lot of baggage with me compared to last Thursday, I will update you about what I think of my foodie finds there at my food blog Matakaw Ako!
For updates on the newest vendors and activities at Mezza Norte like them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/MezzaNorte or follow @Mezzanorte on Twitter.
See you later gorgeous people!
