Our eyes, more often than not, plays trick on us. Just like what Ralph Waldo Emerson said: “ There is an optical illusion about every person we meet. If we want to see through what things really are we must look longer and deeper“.  Don’t be quick to judge because you could be definitely wrong.

Here’s a small game I’d like for you to play for a bit. Look at the images below and tell me what you see:  Is it a vase?

Now tell me, which is longer?

I remember the first time I tried sailing; I was having doubts about doing it before because I was not a good swimmer and the sport was a bit extreme for me. But I was wrong it turned out that sailing is one of the best experiences I ever tried.

Here’s another video with Parokya ni Edgar and Ramon Bastista, watch it, very funny!

Btw, this is the T-shirt that you may win:

3in1 AKALA Approved Tshirt Design 022813

Nescafe 3in1 Original

Just like the NESCAFE 3in1 Original, even if there are so many coffee mixes coming out of nowhere, nothing beats the original blend. I love that NESCAFE 3in1 has more gram now compared before and the others. I also love the smooth creamy foam while I sip. If you haven’t grabbed one yet better hit the stores and try it out now.

Stay gorgeous everyone!

Illusion #1 looks like a vase or an upside down table.. but it has also an image of 2 faces facing each other.
Illusion #2 it has the same length.. it just that the 1st line is up to the outer part of the box while the 2nd line went up thru the inside of the box.

we need to consider two things here because the question is an open ended question.

    1. longer interms of including the end of the box and i think the longer is the first image

    2. longer interms of the straight line and i think they parallel/same length

  26. Patrick Basister

    Answer:
    1. Vase (black) and 2 faces, side view (white space)
    2. Both lines same length

    Name: Patrick Basister
    email: pbasister@yahoo.com
    Location: Marikina

  27. Francis Falucho

The first picture is a vase or what they called Rubin’s vase (sometimes known as the Rubin face or the figure–ground vase)

The second picture is that both lines have the exact same length. The illusion is what makes the first one longer than the second one.

  28. Clarisse Anne Litiatco

My guess on the first image is a two side view face facing each other and a flower vase. On the second image, the lines are in both length. The only difference is the location of the box. :)
