There will always be a first time for everything and this is one of them for me, my first time to actually wear contact lenses. I never wear contact lenses because I don’t feel the need to do so. Plus, I am scared to do more harm on my precious eyes than enhance them like what people with no vision problem but likes to wear them for “beautification” purposes.
My first few pairs of contacts is the ones Freshlook gave to me a week or so ago during the launch of their latest product, the Freshlook Illuminate Dailies. The contact lenses that are disposable and made for daily use. I was encouraged to try it out because they have eye doctors who showed us how to wear one and they made it appear so easy to do.
Product Info:
Freshlook Illuminate Dailies are contact lenses that are packed individually and bundled in 10 pcs (5 pairs) packs. Each box is sold at Php650.00 and can be bought at your favorite drugstore or eye care store/station nationwide. What’s best about this dailies contacts is that you don’t need to clean it after use unlike the regular contact lenses.
Here’s a video showing you how to wear this contact lenses:
Important reminders:
- Make sure that your hands are clean and free from lotion, oil or powder.
- Don’t sleep wearing your contacts. When its night time and you are about to sleep, make sure to remove your contact lenses! Make sure hands are clean!
- You can’t wear this dailies contacts once you remove it. It is completely disposable. Here’s how a used Freshlook Illuminate Dailies look like:
The one on top was removed a few minutes earlier than the one on the bottom. When they are not moisturized they shrink. Throw it away after use okay?
Reasons to wear Freshlook Illuminate Dailies:
- They are lightweight. Unlike regular contact lenses that are kinda hard and you can definitely feel you have something in your eyes.
- They are disposable. No need to clean the contacts like crazy.
- They highlight you eyes and makes you the center of attention.
On My Eyes
In the photo below, I am wearing Freshlook Illuminate on my left eye and no contact lenses on the right so to make you see the difference.
If you notice, my pupils look dilated/ larger than my normal pupils without the contacts. So this makes the eyes look bigger. Perfect for making that baby doll eyes makeup look.
- For someone who has not worn any other kind of contact lenses before in her entire life (me) This is the most non-threatening, non-intimidating contact lenses I have encountered that made me try wearing one for the first time.
- According to those who wore contact lenses everyday because they have to (they don’t have 20/20 vision and they don’t like wearing prescription eye glasses), they say that this is the most comfortable contact lens they ever tried. Virtually feels like nothing on they said.
- IMO, it still feels like there’s something in your eyes, like eyelashes sticking on your eyeballs or dirt. If you are the type who rubs your eyes too often, I suggest you do away with a contact lens, it will be bad for your eyes.
Do I recommend it?
If the contact lens wearer love them then go ahead and try it yourself and see the difference and tell me which do you prefer, your usual ones or the Freshlook Illuminate Dailies.
The only drawback for me is the very limited choice of colors. They only have it in Jet Black and Rich Brown which is Asian eyes regular eye color already. I might have enjoyed using this contact lens if it came with a striking color like maybe blue, purple, or green that other people will notice right way! Haha.
How about you, do you wear contact lens? If you do, what is your favorite contact lens brand and color? If not will you dare wear one? What’s stopping to try one on?
Stay gorgeous everyone!
hi magkano na po kaya yan ngayon?
I don’t think I could ever wear contact lenses, I’m scared of putting them on.
I don’t wear contact lenses. That’s because I find wearing prescription eyeglasses easier.
