LovePinoy (Movies) Weekend Hangout with Piolo Pascual

Last week, I heard people were stranded on traffic again, for reasons nobody could ever comprehend anymore.   I think the traffic situation in Metro Manila is getting worst everyday.  Didn’t I heard someone said he can solve it in six months (liar!).

Anyway, I was not one of those who were miserable in traffic that day.  I was chillin’ like a villain with Piolo Pascual and some of my blogger friends at the Globe Iconic Store at Bonifacio Global City watching a really fun and kilig movie pinoy movie.

Yes, we were all warm and fuzzy hanging out with Piolo Pascual with our big burgers, drinks and popcorn, watching his movie Every Breathe You Take with Angelica Panganiban,  while everyone else wined and struggled to get somewhere cozy other than the streets of Metro Manila.

Hooq Hangout LovePinoy

I feel bad for them when this is how nights should be like after the stressful day at work we all deserve a break.

This weekend, since it is a payday weekend, expect the worst in the traffic situation again.  I suggest stay at home or wherever you are for now and do a HOOQ Hangout party with your officemates or friends and watch local movies you never get to see in the theaters for a change.

Honestly, I seldom watch Pinoy movies in cinemas.  I am glad that this month #LovePinoy was the theme of the second HOOQ Hangouts where I found out that at HOOQ they have a massive catalog of local movies , in fact 5 decades of Pinoy movies (from 198-‘s to 2016!)  you can choose from.  And I thought they only have foreign movies and TV series!

You can stream or download HOOQs certified romantic flicks featuring star couples such as James Reid and Nadine Lustre’s Diary ng Panget and This Time. Then you might want to add A Secret Affair starring Derek Ramsay and Anne Curtis to your movie playlist.

HOOQ also has you covered if you are craving for some Pinoy Action Blockbusters  with On The Job, Muro Ami, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, Deathrow and Dugo ng Panday leading the list. Scream your hearts out with horror classics Feng Shui, Sukob, Shake Rattle and Roll series and The Healing or laugh out loud with blockbuster comedies starting with Sisterakas, Kimmy Dora, Wang Fam, My Amnesia Girl and Girl,Boy,Bakla, Tomboy with top comedians Vice Ganda, Eugene Domino, and Toni Gonzaga as headliners.

HOOQs all Pinoy catalog likewise lets you enjoy hard to find classics from Bagets, Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas, to Temptation Island, Rizal and Ishmael Bernal’s City After Dark.

The Video on Demand service has likewise shown its annual support to the Metro Manila Film Festival and short film/animation category hosted on HOOQ.

This is actually the second HOOQ Hangouts I attended, the first one was watching a marathon of DC Legends of Tomorrow and we hangout with Jessie Mendiola and Xian Lim.  This is brought to us cooperation with Samsung, turns the BGC Amphitheater into a free outdoor cinema venue with massive LED screens, beanbags, blankets and cushions to fully enjoy the show.
