Shrek Forever After Movie Review

I was among the first to see Shrek Forever After/ Shrek The Fourth/ Shrek The Final Chapter in 3D , thanks to Eastwood City for the invite.

I believe that ending the Shrek Saga with this last movie is a wise decision, since Dreamworks exhausted every fairy tale character they could ever use for the first two films / installations of the movie. The future I see with the Shrek and ogre’s would be a TV series kinda thing if they can pay for the talent fee of the A-list Hollywood actors behind the characters but not another movie,  I can see a cameo for the spin-off movie though.

Rumpelstiltskin and the Pied Piper  are the two new characters from the traditional fairy tale they can use in the latest and last Shrek movie.  While I noted the introduction of more Ogres in the movie, for the first two movies Shrek and Fiona were the only Orge’s in the movie and technically Fiona is not a full pledge one as she was half human and was cursed .  And finally Shrek and Fiona’s kids / baby names were revealed Felicia, Fergus  and Francis (?) (honestly I forgot the name of the other Shrek baby boy! aaaaaaaah!)

I could agree with having a spin-off movie for Puss In Boots and Donkey, especially for Puss, he is my favorite character in Shrek Forever After and the only character in the movie that had all the audience, including me, burst into laughter! He is so adorable, Antonio Banderas voice fits the cats character so much, even if he fattened up like Garfield in this movie.  There so many other things they can do for him like maybe find his one true love like Donkey and Shrek did.

Shrek Forever After is a great family movie where the most important lesson everyone can pick-up was  “You don’t know what you got until its gone!”  Meaning people should learn to appreciate what they have and not look for the what ifs in their life.  I highly recommend this movie especially to Shrek movie fans.

Here is the Shrek the Fourth / Shrek Forever After movie info and trailer.
