Dior Addict Lipstick Vintage Review

Believe it or not, I did not have a makeup discussion with my high school friends . I don’t remember is talking about what shade of lipstick or lip gloss will look good on me or them. As far as I can remember we just use whatever was given to us without complaining that the shade isn’t right.

When one of my high school bff went for a vacation here in the Philippines she gifted us a bag of makeup goodies. As she handed mine she said I know you will like all of it because I read your blog and your makeup tutorial and finds. When I saw what’s inside I was super happy. When the others saw what’s in there they asked “why didn’t I have this or that like of Earth?” My friend said, “I don’t know if you use those kind of makeup or not, at least with Earth I know she uses them“. It just stresses how I and my friends are late bloomers when it comes to makeup.

Anyway, that was a long story. I just want to show you one of the makeup goodies she gave me, the Christian Dior Addict Lipstick in Vintage shade.

What I think of it?

• Fancy packaging.  I love the fact that you can actually see the actual shade of the lipstick on that cute round glass top.
• Highly pigmented.  One swipe of the lipstick gives the color away.
• It looks flesh/nude tone on me but I think on those with fairer skin it will look a bit light pinkish.
• Glossy and hydrating.
• Since it’s glossy color doesn’t last so you need to reapply.

Do I recommend Dior Addict Lipstick?

It’s nice to have a signature/ branded lipstick on your purse especially when you are at an event that’s high class. Take the lip gloss out to retouch and all eyes will be on you.  They will have their eyes on you  not because your lip color looks nice but because hey you are using Dior!   But if brand is not your priority, you can get away in life without getting this one.  The shade, texture, “performance” can be found in other not so expensive lipstick brands and products out there.  I’m glad I can cross of buying super high-end lipstick brands out there just so I can try them out.  Thanks to my bff. But if you want to buy one just because its Dior you can get it at Php1,400.00 each.
