One in every 13 Filipino women have breast cancer and one in every female in the world will be diagnosed with it (there are males who get breast cancer too and is more fatal than women because it is rarely detected). Honestly, the statistics doesn’t do anything to us unless we are directly affected or involved.
I saw Roco Nacino, a Filipino actor and a registered nurse, break down in tears while telling us his mother’s breast cancer story. We saw his pain and his love for his mom Linda Nacino, who herself battled against and survived the disease.
Jennylyn, Roco and Linda, togehter with Avon are also inviting everyone to join the Avon Walk and Run event against breast cancer that will happen on October 10, 2015 at the SM Mall of Asia Open Grounds. The Philippine Cancer Society, Philippine General Hospital, GMA Network, SM Mall of Asia, SM Cares, Ford Philippines and United Health Group are supporting this cause as well.
Meanwhile Avon on the other hand, encourages everyone to purchase the Pink Ribbon Underwire Bra, Over Nature Lipstick and the Skin So Soft and White Collagen Protector Whitening Hand and Body Lotion . Part of the proceeds for each purchase will go to the PGH Breast Care Center as well.
I share the fight against breast cancer by wearing the Avon Fashions Pink Ribbon Underwire Bra, the Orchid Fantasy Over Nature Lipstick and the Skin So Soft & White Collagen Protector Whitening Hand and Body Lotion, this is definitely beauty with a purpose. (Hahaha I saw somebody cringe over there hahahaha, sorry not sorry for the pic ahahahaha, try to unseen it if you can). This was our #OOTD challenge Ana Gonzalez and I were planning to do with the bra hahaha! Where’s yours Ana? 🙂 Joining us is Ruth dela Cruz, Ava Zabat, and Lee Shen Gee! Tehehehe !
