When somebody wants to throw shade, they will throw shade. Honestly, as one of the bloggers invited at the Kathryn Bernardo for Generation Happy Skin makeup line launch having sexual thoughts about the lipstick shade Spunk have not crossed my mind.
Spunk to me means spirited, like, that girl had spunk!
But hello! Lo and behold! The online predators / trolls. They will find bad in everything whenever they can even on this really asexual look of Kathryn Bernardo between a huge backdrop image of her big beautiful face and cute text saying Spunk on her lips. Which just want to say she was wearing the shade spunk on her lips.
That’s not what some of the netizens saw on that backdrop, it means a very dirty sexual thing. I had to Google it and found different meaning, one being what I thought it was and the other was what the malisyoso mind had.
Was I that shielded that I didn’t know of this malisyosong term of spunk being used as a slang term for semen?
Should I thank those guys for “educating” me and the rest of us who had to Google for the meaning of spunk as to confirm what the use of their term is? They said it made bad beside the on her lips. If it was just spunk they would have let it go. Right.
Couldn’t they just let go of it knowing the fact that Kath Bernsrdo is a wholesome young star, that Happy Skin is a wholesome skin care and makeup brand who wants to invite good and positive vibes.
Then there is this debacle that women wear makeup to look desireable to men. I beg your pardon that is cavemen mentality. Women dress up and get made up for other women. Do men even know the diffence between or can tell the difference of MAC Ruby Woo and Russian Red . I bet they can’t.
I bet whoever pointed out the other meaning of the backdrop captioning. is smiling from ear to ear now. Imagine the damage they have caused a brand that was supposedly a dream turned to nightmare. I hope you are happy now! Happy in your skin.
Anyway, good or bad the issue has made everyone aware of the term and the brand and Kath Bernardo Generation Happy Skin makeup line.

Generation Happy Skin is a new line by Happy skin that caters to the young breed of women. It took two years for the Kathryn Bernardo line to be developed and that one on the tagline they did not forsee.
Honestly, this launch was one of the events I was ranting about on my Facebook. I wasn’t happy how three hours late it started and then learning after that they have let the TV, print and glossy interview Kath first before bringing her out of the stage for the proper program. I wish brands and event organizers become more considerate of everyone else’s time because they did not just invite tri-media on these events, they also have online content creators who patiently waited and did not pull a leg for a one-on-one interview. I was no able to wait for 3 hours coz it is too much disrespectful of my time. By three hours the program could have been done and I have done all my errands.
Anyway, Would you like to try the shade spunk on your lips too? I would it is Kath’s favorite and is perfect for the Morena skin tone so why not!
