JobStreet.com launched its #TogetherAhead initiative to assist job seekers and hirers to find opportunities that are fit for the current situation.
Over 2 Million Filipino workers were reported displaced by the Enhanced Community Quarantine or ECQ. And based on the latest report from the Department of Labor and Employment , Metro Manila has also recorded the highest displacement figure in the region. The quarantine measures we are all going through has caused companies to halt or delay their recruitment process and this has been seen across different countries not just specific here in the Philippines.
As the world struggle to flatten the curve, new employment trends are emerging. Some industries have increase in working hours, employees started to lift new roles supporting the economy are also emerging.
Covid-19 has ended many traditional approaches to even the most simple everyday task, and hiring and searching job are no exception. Many companies are obviously facing challenging, particularly those in hospitality and travel industry.
According to Jobstreet.com data , there is about 21,000 companies that are hiring and are looking for job seekers. Through the #TogetherAhead initiative that comes in four parts there is a, JobStreet’s COVID-19 Jobs and Resources Hub which provides job opportunities fit for the condition nowadays such as home-based or freelance.

It also publishes critical information resources from JobStreet’s extensive network to motivate jobseekers for their next career path and to guide employers in adapting their business through the challenging times.
#TogetherAhead also houses the current job report, available roles, assistance for candidates to get jobs more conveniently, and special aid for hirers.

Top Industries that are Still Hiring during the pandemic

Likewise, this lets companies identify which candidates are available for urgent employment. To use this function, jobseekers only need to log in their JobStreet profile, edit ‘Additional Info’, go to ‘Other Information’ and type in #WorkNow then click ‘Save’.
Free-of-charge job posting on JobStreet is also offered to small-to-medium enterprises that offer opportunities for college and K-12 graduates, work from home, and no experience jobs, which gives businesses the opportunity to rebuild themselves and reestablish their workforce.
