In order to close out the year in style, Airbnb is announcing its top travel locations and Airbnb Categories for stays in 2022 as well as giving users a sneak glimpse at what 2023 has in store.
For vacations in the tropics or lounging by the pool, Pinoy Airbnb visitors in 2022 were most likely to be spotted. The most popular vacation rental categories among Filipinos are the Tropical and Amazing Pools ones, with National Parks, Golf, Lake Houses, Beachfront, and Surfing coming in second and third, respectively.

Unprecedented travel enthusiasm emerged in 2022, especially as borders all around the world started to reopen. Notably, Singaporeans made up the majority of the substantial influx of foreign visitors to the Philippines this year according to Airbnb. The top origin cities for tourists coming to the Philippines in 2022, according to the most recent data, are Singapore, Seoul, Los Angeles, London, and Sydney.
2023 trending travel spots
Pinoys are undoubtedly looking forward to using their passports in 2023. Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand, and South Korea are predicted to be the top foreign travel destinations for Filipino visitors in 2023, according to Airbnb research.
However, domestic travel continues to be a high priority for Filipinos, with Baguio in the north, Pasay, and Mandaluyong in Metro Manila being the top trending domestic travel destinations in 2023, along with El Nido and Coron in Palawan, Cebu City, and Lapu Lapu City in Cebu.
This gives a special chance for Filipinos as the Christmas season approaches to profit from the increase in travel, earn some extra money, and possibly even pay for a trip to a popular destination.
