Heavenly Chocolate Seminar For Chocoholics

Heavenly Chocolates and Chocolatier Benjamin Pedro just sealed my being a true blue chocoholic after the Chocolate Appreciation Seminar I attended last Saturday, March 28, 2008.  I want to be a chocolatier too like Mr. Pedro!

Honestly before the seminar I can’t tell the difference between a Swiss Chocolate and a Belgian Chocolate.  For me they are all the same, yummy chocolate I can’t resist.  Did you know in one choco shopping I spend P2,000!  Or fridge will never be without a chocolate.  But of course I don’t have the super expensive ones just the commercialized brands like M&Ms, Toblerone, Cadburry, and Hersheys.  I get Godiva and Leonida’s once in awhile but not often.  When  friends from U.K. visits I get to have Lindtt and their heavenly pralines.

Forms Of Chocolate

What’s a chocolate seminar without sampling different kinds of chocolate right?  Mr. Pedro gave us a taste of solid chocolates Belgian and Swiss chocolates so we can tell the difference.  I like Belgian better it’s gummy and more caramelly than the milky taste of Swiss.

However Mr. Pedro said that your preference depends on your mood so my mood calls for the Belgian but maybe a couple weeks or months I would rathre prefer a Swiss chocolate.

The he gave us a taste of a chocolate somewhere between a solid and liquid (jell like chocolate) the  Sachi Nama to be exact! OMG! They are heavenly.  One was minty and one had champagne but both are equally delectable treat for chocolate lovers like me! They are their best seller by the way.

After that he gave us a sample of liquid chocolate the Mexican and Peru. I prefer the Peru than the Mexican it’s a little bitter for me.  But don’t you know the more bitter a chocolate is the purer it is?Heavenly ChocolatesI can tell you more but I think you would not understand unless you try it.  If you would like to attend the most palate friendly seminar ever, that is if you are a chocolate lover, then contact Mr. Pedro at benjaminpedro (at) yahoo.com, he conducts this regular seminar at Heavenly Chocolate located at Tomas Morato Quezon City.

You can watch a brief overview of what to expect on the seminar in this video clip I captured: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGua3n41aTQ

Oh! A warning,  if you are not a real chocolate lover Mr. Pedro suggest you skip this seminar because only a true chocoholic can endure the sugar rush.
