Happy Birthday Olayski!

My ever dearest sister Olay is gonna celebrate her sweet 16 birthday party today although she is already 33!  She showed me her birthday party invitation and wow she made me laugh with the rules for her party!

Among the things that strike me was some rules she made like:  never bring a stranger in my home, someone I’ve never met before.  Don’t attempt to bring me a date, they’re much worst than left over food!  And she loathes someone calling her “Ate”  but I think it wasn’t meant for me because I never called her ate ever. Hehe! Peace!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  Miss yah!

  1. Oh, and in two years I can have my debut (if not a baby shower or a wedding)! A 35yo debutante! Isn’t it super 😀

  2. Here’s the entire post:

You may find this guide handy:

    1. I will have a few sushi/teriyaki platters + alcohol on standby for the entire day and will reorder more if necessary. Please do not bring food + alcohol you cannot consume to the very last bit or drop. I hate leftovers!

    2. You are welcome to swim at our pools and party at my living room – I am going to sleep in the bedroom and might go out occassionally for air/food/water/alcohol/human interaction. When I am in bed, duh, please do not disturb.

    3. Do not bring people I’ve never met. Do not bring me a date! More than leftovers, I f*cking hate strangers in my home.

    4. What do I want for my birthday? Not a thing. Well, nothing any of you can give. So please, don’t bother buying me a present. I’d rather you spend the money supporting your causes or mine (as some of you know, I am manning Dubai Autism Center fundraising booths at the malls during my Ramadan free time). You are invited to donate or buy our stuff ranging 10-40 dirhams a piece.

    5. If you must give me something, a solemn and sincere prayer for me and those close to me from your heart to your God will be very much appreciated.

Not that I loathe the “Ate” (elder sister) tag, I just hate people using that term on me with malicious intent i.e. some Pinoy forumers/maids/waiters/waitresses/receptionist/salesladies/merchandisers/drivers/new acquiantance.

If that title is supposedly the young ones’ means of showing respect, and you have asked/informed them there is no need to use it and they would insist, doesn’t that defeat the purpose if they continue in malice?

Anyhoo, I am a bit disappointed of not getting anything from Manila (again) this year. But what’s new? Anyhoo, had a fab party so I guess it’s a draw.
