Rex Education Edukampyon Wins CSR Medal of Recognition for Empowering Private Schools

Rex Education Edukampyon

On July 1, 2025, Rex Education Edukampyon was honored with the CSR Medal of Recognition (Education Category) by the League of Corporate Foundations. This award acknowledges the company’s dedication to strengthening private schools through its Edukampyon Corps of Trainers program.

From 67 Volunteers to a 316-Member Training Network

The Edukampyon Corps of Trainers began as a 67-member volunteer initiative focused on rolling out the MATATAG Curriculum in private schools. Before long, the program expanded to include:

  • Quality-assurance support via the REX QA-SAMA Program
  • Guidance on setting up school-based professional learning communities (PLCs)
  • Collaboration with renowned academics through 17 major enrichment sessions

Today, the Corps boasts 316 trained members drawn from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, and has produced 92 customized training materials tailored to diverse school contexts.

Reaching Thousands of Educators Nationwide

Between November and December 2024, Edukampyon trainers worked directly with 4,711 teachers, equipping them to implement the new curriculum effectively. Their nine-episode webinar series on curriculum challenges and best practices attracted nearly 100,000 teacher views, making it one of the most-watched professional development initiatives in the private sector.

“Mula sa mga guro, para sa kapwa guro”

Don Timothy Buhain, CEO of Rex Education, captured the spirit of the program: “The Edukampyon Corps is mula sa mga guro, para sa kapwa guro—a perfect reflection of our commitment para sa bata, para sa mamamayan, para sa bayan.”

Powering Success Through Strategic Partnerships

Rex Education credits much of the Corps’ success to partnerships with:

  • Department of Education (DepEd)
  • Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations (COCOPEA)
  • Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP)
  • Academic experts from UP College of Education and Xavier School

These collaborations have helped the Corps adapt training content and delivery to the unique needs of schools across the Philippines.

A Diverse Community Driving Lasting Change

The Edukampyon Corps of Trainers brings together classroom teachers, academic consultants, school leaders, and accreditors. By valuing this diversity, the program ensures resources and sessions are relevant—from Metro Manila classrooms to remote Mindanao learning centers—empowering every private school to thrive.
