The Singapore Tourism Board thru Ms. Sherina Chan, Area Director for Philippines and Brunei, is encouraging Young Filipino Designers to join and represent Philippine Fashion at the Asian Fashion Exchange (AFX). She said she sees a lot of potential in Filipino designers and it saddens them that there were only few who joined the AFX competition who has been running for 3 years now. Last year, only 5 Filipino aspiring designers joined the competition one of them is Michael Yapching from Cebu who was able to make it to the top 12.
