My daughters’ developmental doctor called me yesterday to inform me that she already have my daughters (Electroencephalogram) EEG test result. I was nervous about the result and what I will hear.
Today, I was disheartened and devastated, but I have to keep my composure. Her EEG report concluded: This EEG is abnormal showing epileptiform discharges coming from the right central and parietal area as well as the right temporal area that is seen predominantly when the patient is asleep. Awake background activity is normal for age.
That was a medical technical explanation but simply put it meant that my daughter had epileptic tendencies and that she had experienced some seizures that we may not be aware of. Oh my!
