My 2010 Noche Buena Menu Suggestions

Now is a bad time to go on a diet.  Everyone’s coming out with mouth-watering treats and its so bad for me to say no because matakaw ako!  Half of the month I spent food tasting and here’s what will make it for my 2010 Noche Buena Menu (Christmas Dinner).

Since I can’t have the sizzling crispy hot Zubuchon here in Manila, I’ll get an alternative.  Thanks to the genius mind behind the Pizza Hut Lechon Pizza I can enjoy my lechon as hot and crispy as I did in Cebu plus the added flavor of  mozzarella cheese and onions!


Pizza Hut serves the Lechon Pizza with the Manila traditional liver sauce. In Cebu they eat their lechon without the sauce or with the soy sauce, vinegar, onions sauce mix.

Desserts who doesn’t love desserts, Delifrance got me covered with their Holiday treats ! Who wouldn’t say no to the Premium English Fruitcake filled with walnuts, pecans, prunes, dates, cherries, and glazed fruits on a cake that is soaked and cured for months on a special blend of brandy and fruit juices.

Or the Food for the Goods that is smothered with chopped walnuts, pecans, prunes, dates, topped with sunny strips of dried mangoes!

Then there’s the all time favorite! Ice Cream!

Magnolia Ice Cream recently launched their 2010 Christmas Holiday Limited Edition Flavors/ Gold Label which are Caramel Cheesecake, Apple Strudel, and Vanilla Praline

Each flavor was awesome but my favorite was the Apple Strudel because it has the scent and taste of Christmas probably because of all the apple infused in it. It has green and red apples bits and syrup.

The Caramel Cheesecake was one of the flavors my daughter can’t stop coming back for. It has caramel and cheese bits and the creaminess only a Magnolia Ice Cream has.

Vanilla Praline was a delight, another favorite of my daughter, the praline infused in the vanilla ice cream was glorious!

Enjoy them while they’re here! Did I tell you they come in cute collectible tubs with nice graphic designs by PUP students!

They will be here until March 2011 and can be found in your favorite Supermarkets. Just look for the Magnolia logo! 🙂
