SPED EXPO 2009

Finally parents who have children with special children can now look for their options as  Etera Events initiates  Special Education Expo (SPED EXPO 2009) on December 1, 2009 at the newly renovated Glorietta Activity Center. Simultaneous to the exhibition is a Special Education forum, storytelling, games and performances by celebrities.

With the Theme: ”Special Education – A World of Options,” the SPED Expo will gather together parents of special children, different service providers, from schools, to therapy centers, to book publishers, special education practitioners, toys and equipment manufacturers which cater to this underserved market. The goal of the event is to create awareness on the needs of special children and provide options for these individuals to ensure they live a happy and normal life.

Venue: Glorietta Activity Center
Operating Hours: 10 AM – 8 PM
Accompanying Events: Exhibitor’s Presentation, Special Education Forum, Story-telling, celebrity guest performances, Learning block sessions by Special Education practitioners and experts, Raffle Draws, Entertainment & Games.

Tentative Fair Program:

Learning block sessions – forum and informal lecture on selected topics on special education by esteemed experts in the academe
• Games and Raffle Draws – prizes to be given away during games (may be sponsored or by the organizer) for kids
• Story Telling – book and interpretative reading by celebrities and/or reading groups
• Intermission – short performances by celebrities and children from special education schools
• Presentations – exhibitors and sponsors’ presentations of their products and services

Alam mo mabuti may mga ganitong event na ngayon, maraming tao na including relatives of special kids ang nagiging aware na maraming opportunities available sa mga bata na may special needs, lumalawak ang perspective nila at sa side naman ng stakeholders maraming programs ang make-create para sa inclusion ng mga bata sa mainstream.
