L’Oreal INOA: The Hair Color Of The Future Trade Launch

I just got home from the trade launch of  L’Oreall’s  INOA: The Hair Color Of The Future.  INOA stands for an innovation in hair color with no ammonia. The Philippines is the first Asian country to have the INOA color treatment.

Yes! You read that right a hair color that doesn’t have ammonia ergo no overpowering odor,  offers complete comfort for the scalp, optimal respect for the hair fiber, infinite color power and sublime shine.

INOA

Starting today your favorite salons all over the country will offer the INOA color treatment especially the L’Oreall partner salons like Studio Fix Salon, Emphasis Salon, Regine’s Salon, Piandre, Bridges Salon,  and David’s Salon to name a few.   Watch out for the INOA website where you can locate salons offering the INOA color treatment.

Meanwhile take a look at some of the photos I took during the event that only happens every 100 years!

Stay gorgeous everyone!

  1. The product is horrible. It is so thick that it is impossible to work with. INOA is so time consuming to mix and prepare which normally takes me 25 minutes alone! After the second application the hair dries out and becomes quite corse. INOA fades off tone which begins about a week after the application and fades more dramatically with grey coverage. I have had my L’Oreal rep and educator in my 24 chair salon 9 times and wasted a ton of time, money, and credibility on this underperforming product.

The shampoos contain high concentrations of “Ammonia Hydroxide” which is really “ammonia water”. The color contains extremely high levels of PPD’s which are very dangerous. IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO CONDUCT A PROPER PATCH TEST, WHICH IS LEGALLY REQUIRED, ON EVERY CLIENT THAT YOU PLAN ON SUBJECTING TO INOA — which I learned the hard way. Also, INOA is simply a repackaged product L’Oreal took off the drugstore shelf that used to be called Natural Match. They simply gave it a new name and charge us 4x more for it.

The packing is ridiculously inefficient as two tubes won’t even do a full head of hair. You end up wasting more product than you are using. These costs add up over the long run.

The price of the product is completely unacceptable. I figured I am averaging close to $25 per application after I add in all the product I am wasting. It is simply too high and probably double of OCS.

Although I wish I never heard of this line, because it is literally ruining my salon, if you are interested in it you will be far better off buying if for pennies on the dollar at Walgreens or on Amazon.com.

Here is a comparison of Wella and L’Oreal INOA which I found remarkably accurate after months of using a lot of INOA. My rep claims I am one of the biggest single salons using the color. I can’t wait until my stock has run out so I can start using OCS. If anyone wants to buy my stock for half price, I still have a few thousand dollars worth. Please email me!

  2. @ Amanda I know its great I just had mine couple days ago I love it. Will post about the experience soon 🙂

  3. I’ve just tried this and the results were excellent.
Colour blended in with previous highlights and covered grey at the roots. I have fine blond hair prone to snapping, but this left the hair in good condition.

  4. @Kathy, I’m sorry to hear this, I am actually looking for feedbacks about the product because I’m gonna get the treatment soon

  5. Inoa is by far the worst product I have seen introduced to the market in my 15 years of doing hair. It cannot cover gray hair, irritates my client’s scalps, take such a long time to mix and prepare, and simply does not work well even under the best of circumstances. Do yourself a favor and avoid disappointment by staying away from this product. Inoa simply does not work and I have no idea why L’Oreal is spending soo much money marketing this pig so shamelessly.
