I Had A Treatment To Remove Sunspots, Freckles and Melasma at Luminisce Here’s What Happened …

When we age our skin texture, color, elasticity, and vibrance diminish. This is because of the sun’s UV rays exposure, pollution, and even our gadget lights. In order for it to look good we must consciously take care of it. If not sunspots, freckles, melasma, milia, and other skin problem will prominently appear on your skin. This in my case is true because I don’t put on sunblock as much as I do.

Wanting to get clearer skin the fastest way, I went for a treatment to remove sunspots, freckles, and melasma on my face at Luminisce Holistic Skin Innovations / Luminisce Skin Clinic with arrangements made by a blogger friend helping out on their marketing. I was told I can have any treatment I want like liposuction, botox, or anything but I don’t think I’m up for invasive treatments at my age. Not yet maybe when I get older and lazy haha!

My skin treatment schedule was set and went to their clinic in BGC and met Dr. Kaycee Reyes who asked about my skincare concerns and what do I want to do. I showed her my problem, at first I thought it was warts and melasma, but she said it was not it was just sunspots. I do have melasma but not the one I pointed out. She even said I had freckles.

She recommended giving me a Silvercure Laser procedure for the sunspot and melasma that’s still small and shallow. Dr. Reyes warned me that there’s a chance that the sunspots will come back but not too soon. I just need to make sure to put sunblock every 3 hours! Like religiously! As for the freckles I had the Permafade Laser.  After the treatment, of course, the treated area was burned and turned into a wound.

There was supposedly a vlog documenting the entire treatment and my after-treatment documentation, unfortunately, my phone got corrupted and I can’t access the files anymore, it was already edited and ready for upload. As soon as I get my files back I will upload it on my YouTube channel so please subscribe .

Was I satisfied with the treatment to remove sunspots?

I think my expectations were set very high as I expected no scar mark or dark spot will be left behind after my treatment just like what I had with a previous almost same treatment I had with another skin care clinic ( a painless blemish removal).

I asked how many treatments I need for a “flawless” result, and as of writing I am waiting for the reply. My treatment was one shot experience deal so I don’t know if I need a follow-up treatment. Anyway, as of writing, I leave it to the “natural healing process” or will go to my usual derma for a diamond peel to erase all the dark spots and marks left by the extracted milia and the laser scars.

As for Luminisce Holistic Skin Care Clinic Innovations Signature Radiance Facial, I am satisfied with the result. My skin is less dull and I look glowing with or without highlighters.

  1. This is a super watered down explanation of what laser does. They make it sound permanent. When melanocytes have been damaged by UV radiation, the DNA is permanently altered. You could say the “on” switch has been left on to produce melanin (pigment) permanently. Laser goes in and breaks up the discoloration in targeted areas, but eventually… it re-coagulates. My explanation is still simplistic, but I want people to know this is not permanent. Hyperpigmentation is super hard to get rid of. Topicals have to be used every single day, or else… don’t bother. In my opinion, Laser is still the best option. However, be forewarned that you’ll probably need to re-do the procedure ever 4 years or so. I am an Esthetician, not a doctor. But I don’t appreciate when clinics misrepresent the potential of their treatments. Good luck!
