3 Things: Why and When I Long for Rome

There are 3 reasons why I wanted to visit Rome, Italy sometime in this lifetime:

  1. I believe in my past life I was one of the Greek Goddesses and reincarnated to Cleopatra.  To see the Ancient Rome sites would make me relieve those days.
    Ancient Rome
Kidding aside, I am fascinated with Greek Mythology all the stories of ancient Roman Gods and Goddesses are just so amazing to me.  One of my favorite story is that about finding mate. Because we all used to be born in pairs with our mate. But the Gods got angry so now we were born alone. That was our punishment as humans to waste and suffer a lifetime to find our mate.  As soon as we find that mate our souls shall never rest and we will be reincarnated over and over again until we find our mate and be at peace again. Sigh.
  2. I am a frustrated architect and painter.  The major tourist attractions which included Ancient Rome buildings and sites, including those churches and museums would be a feast for art and structure lover like me. Roman ArtPaintings of Michaelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci,  It might and it could bring back the spark in me again to pursue painting too. It is never too late to do something new or pursue a lifelong dream.
  3. There was a time in my life, when I was young and innocent, that I wanted to become a nun. We all know that Rome is the center of Catholicsm in the world.  A church tour will be very much one of the things I will do there!  St. Peter BasilicaThe original St. Peter Basilica was believed to be the gateway to even. At the turn of 2000,  there was a rumor that anyone who enters the Basilica will be cleansed of all original sins and will be accepted in heaven when he/she dies. It was big news that time, about the Holy Door there were millions of people who flocked Vatican before the turn of 2000.   Although I wish I was there that time for “guaranteed slots in heaven”  I was still a student then so I could not.   It would be nice to know where you are goig when you die but nobody really knows what happens after we inhaled and exhaled our last breathe on this body we have.   Anyway If I be lucky enough when I visit the Vatican City I’ll see Pope Francis and be blessed again.  I was once blessed by Pope John Paul II who is now a saint Paul John Paul II when he came here for the World Youth Day! I held his hand and he had his hand over my head.

Rome is such a perfect place for me to experience all three   If I get the chance in this lifetime to do it I will and I can feel it in my finger that I would sometime soon! Might book my travel using Venere.com
