Honestly, what kind of blogger relations are you trying to foster. Because with this kind of treatment you are giving me I’d say you are trying to make a bad reputation. But of course you only do this to the not-so-popular bloggers and those not included on your favorite list.
If you have read my previous post about why I unserved Nuffnang Philippines because I had enough of Nuffnang that was stuck here in the sticky post for quiet a time you will see how bloggers react to Nuffnang Philippines bias and bad reputation.
Today, I got the e-mail that Ms. Geraldine Malagueno, General Manager of Nuffnang Philippines sent me. She told me about this when we met last Saturday during the iBlog5 Philippine Blogging Summit at UP College of Law. She said she sent me an e-mail the other day (Friday) I didn’t get it if I did I would have posted about this by Saturday even before I went for the iBlog5.
Well here is the e-mail for your entertainment:

Can you read it? I think not the print was so fine I need to zoom to 200 percent to be able to read it. Anyway here is what’s written there:
Dear Ms. _____ (now they spelled my name right;
Good day! We understand your concern, but we wish to let you know that the check you currently have, though the name maybe misspelled, is good if you present a valid ID and have the bank confirm the check with us. They will be more than happy to accommodate your request, and as such, you have nothing to worry about with regards to the check.
As for your other inquiry regarding the amount on the check, please be reminded that all checks are subject to witholding taxes. We did not arbitrarily deduct any amount from the check, contrary to what you might have assumed.
Thank you very much, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask me about them.
Sincerely,
Jing

Will you look at that?
First you don’t understand my concern it’s not just about the misspelled check but the inconvenience of having me come to your office when you don’t have the check in your hands yet.
Second, yes you misspelled my name I do deserve an apology for that and your apology to not repeat the same again. Nuffnang Malaysia sent me an e-mail regarding this and they apologized for the inconvenience, how come they are able to do that, why can’t you?
Third, I won’t be happy to encash that check and I don’t intend to encash it anymore. You can’t buy my silence if that is what you want.
Fourth, with regards to that deduction, I would definitely understand if you have disclosure on your site that you deduct taxes. Obviously you don’t know what a disclosure is because there are so many things you don’t disclose to everyone.
Fifth, I don’t have any questions. I was looking for a better apology than this one you provided me. Obviously you don’t want to foster a good blogger relation or rather you only choose the bloggers you will be kind to.
I hope that this won’t happen to other “servers” of Nuffnang Philippines out there. I hope you do change the way you manage your business because without the bloggers you are nothing. I was taught on client relations that one unsatisfied customer is equal to a hundred. A hundred may not be much but a hundred is a hundred. Change the way you run your business.
You will be celebrating your first year in the Philippines this August, so do your job well, clean-up your act. Update your website, people think your not doing anything. If I reckon right you flashed a lot of clients during the iBlog5 why not post about them so bloggers have something to look forward to, but of course with full disclosure.
Some are happy with the amount of money they are getting from you but most aren’t . Don’t have any favoritism it’s bad business. Disclose and don’t make false claims or advertisement.

Can you tell me who did your layout? I’ve been looking for one kind of like yours. Thank you.

the letter was awful. not a single apology stated. they even assumed you don’t know how to encash a check with a misspelled name. they don’t actually have customer relations and it is obvious they want to get rid of you. i don’t know how they classify bloggers but i do know that having a page rank 2 and 80 readers in feedburner is a very respectable achievement. how about bloggers like me who just had a page rank 1 and i guess less than 10 readers? probably they treat bloggers like me like dust….

May 13th, 2009 at 11:23 am
@Azrael natatawa nga ako pinipigil ko lang ung sarili ko to make a scene because I was willing to stand-up in there and contradict whatever their representative was saying. Bulag ba sya or super biased.
May 13th, 2009 at 11:24 am
@ Lemuel the letter was really awful there was no sort of apology for their mistake.

Buti na lang I have no more place to put up their ads on my blog. I thought of squeezing at least one of their ads, but I restrained myself. I thought I’d be alienating my readers.
The same attitude should be their consideration. Are we alienating bloggers by not making proper apologies to people they have wronged. That’s the least they can do.
What’s with these kind of people anyway? Perhaps they thought they were God’s gift to bloggers? At bloggers pa ang ginaganyan nila. Ewan lang if they don’t clean up their act as you warned. May kalalagyan sila sa Pinas.
You’re so outspoken. You don’t mince words. I love it. Feisty lady. “,)

I was here kanina, but your site was undergoing maintenance
hayun pala, may sagot… pero ibang tanong.
siguro, they really choose the bloggers they would treat right
ang dami pala nilang clients, as presented on iBlog5, ba’t puro “I serve Nuffnang” lang ang mga nasa blog ko?
tsk! free links!

@ Roy oo nagsite maintenance sya kanina.
@ Jan yup I’m feisty I bite when necessary lol. Yup they feel like Gods I think coz they give income to bloggers lol. Like bloggers have no other means of income. Anyway, they said you shouldn’t complain and yak in here because this is not the right avenue and everything I say are useless and slanderous lol they make me laugh!
Why does their “representative” able to plurk about this when they can put it in their blog, that is their avenue this is my avenue lol. This is my blog and I blog what I want.
They talk behind my back I talk upfront.

Amen, sister! They really will screw you- I’ve talked to several bloggers about this kinda stuff happening.

The last time I talk to Nuffnang was in January when I got my first check in their office. They are easy to talk to and eager to hear suggestions which I gave like nuffnangers not getting enough income which is attributed to a need for more advertisers. I think that’s why they hired staff to negotiate for more advertisers.
I have had two issues with them but they settled it within a reasonable period of time. I am a patient yet assertive person and I achieve results. I did this via helpdesk and email. I have had experience with 2 other blog ad networks before nuffnang and their rates were lower. That’s why I shifted . And I will shift again if some ad network offers even higher.
It’s a business deal and nothing personal over my choice of ad network.
You might not like what I have to say next but it’s better than not saying anything at all. There is no favoritism. The reason one gets more than others is because of traffic hits. It’s not the advertisers’ fault that so-and-so blogger gets more income. The blogger worked hard for their blog, improving content, building traffic and it took years to do so. I know because I have 4 or so blogs in their system, and my well known blog gets me more hits than the the newer ones. One blog of mine which has decent hits still has no ads.
Sometimes ads disappear in my blog because there is a cap which is a fair deal because it gives others a chance for ads to appear in their blogs. This also happens in other blog ad networks, mind you.
I know this is your blog and this is one way to share information. What is the resolution of your rant? To improve their services or destroy their reputation? I believe it is to improve their services, right?…but if this happened to me, I ‘d make sure Nuffnang won’t hear the end of it but I will do it in private communication and give them an adequate time period to redeem themselves. If nothing happens, I will blog about it if nothing gets resolved.
To the others experiencing the same thing, talk to them directly, give feedback. Ask them why there is no ad. Ask and you shall receive answers. Check your stats in the nuffnang dashboard if you are getting enough hits. Build your content to drive more traffic to your blog.
Work needs to be done both ways, the advertiser and YOU, the blogger.

@ Noemi, I admire how you speak for them, I wish they speak for themselves. That’s all I have to say with regards to the favoritism. FYI I have good stats on their dashboard, I always get ads from them but they did this to me.
I was sending message to Roanna on her cellphone, I was sending her yahoo messages, even before I posted about this mess but they are good at ignoring.
FYI I am not trying to destroy them because they are the ones who ruined their relationship and reputation and I hope they do change their ways.
I think you don’t read me well, I WANT THEM TO APOLOGIZE TO ME, and be more open, have disclosure on their website and not go underground.
Are you sure the last time you talked to them was in January? Have you not talked to them during the iBlog5? That would be odd because you were the timekeeper
If Roanna will deny that I sent her multiple messages flooding all means of communication I can get to her then she is lying.

May 17th, 2009 at 4:36 pm
@ earth- iblog 5 , yes I did talk about their time involvement with their slot and was not related about nuffnang business. I had no time to chit-chat.
I do not speak for Nuffnang. I am a nuffnanger after all and have experienced some issues with them. My comments are my experiences which I wanted to share. I have no control on your interpretation of my comment.

i don’t understand bloggers who have the shameless nerve to proclaim to the world that “they don’t speak for nuffnang” then WHY SPEAK FOR NUFFNANG?!
why not let EG rants and let her anger gets out of her chest, after all she was the one wronged. if SOMEBODY WILL SPEAK FOR NUFFNANG, get an authority from them ganun lang yon. no high school degree required.
i wish there’s world peace here since i believe there’s some valid ground for being angry about.
Ging happens to be my nieces best friend and who is almost family, but i would not be happy if i find out that i was treated special over others by nuffnang. which i doubt dahil nuffnang earnings to date is only Php59 hahaha!
but i feel you EG!

I think apology is the best move for any business. No matter what, the best rule for any business: Customer is king. And, that is what some companies, or people from some companies, does not understand.
Earth probably values her time and efforts so much, yet, others can’t get it.
I’ve been with NN for quite a time, and i’ve been observing and giving it a chance for a long time now and I hope they will work on their issues.
With all these, it makes me compare NN to other ad networks.
A company will not exist and survive without their customers. At an early time, companies should realize that.

Sis, sorry to hear that they didn’t even apologize to you. I’ve almost forgotten about Nuffnang myself (been less of a blogger the past few weeks too), haven’t logged in there cause I feel that they don’t really pay well. Plus, you mean we have to go to their office to claim the check? omg.
