Because of suspicion of high led content a voluntary recall of about 210,000 by it’s U.S. manufacturer Alpargatas USA Inc. in New York.

The flip flops that were voluntarily pulled out of the market were Baby Estampas, Baby Pets, Kids Apple, Kids Fairy, Kids Flores, Kids Lighthouse, Kids Monsters, Kids Surf, Baby Letrinhas, Kids Sports, Kids Candies, Kids Fun, Kids Love, Kids Sereias, Kids Speed, Kids Lucky Bug, Kids Pets, Kids Rock, Kids Slim, Kids Wonder Woman, Kids Small Flowers and Kids Tropical w/Kit.

Everyone are advised to stop purchasing these products and in case you already have one you can have them replaced with non toxic ones or the non-decorated Havianas.

  1. @Badet I just talked to the PR of Havaianas Philippines and they said they will issue a statement next week. I’ll post about it so you’ll know where to have your havis exchange.

    @Lemuel honestly I can’t bring myself to buy more than P500 worth of slippers. I am a staunch supporter of Filipino goods.

    you can ask form the store pero that’s what the distributor said in the interviews.

  4. hi! havaianas are really nice to see and are very attractive to kids, they are a bit expensive though so i think we can help our country’s industry by just buying local brands. there are a lot of local brands that are durable too. by buying Pinoy, we help our economy and provide jobs to our fellow pinoys. Thanks!
