Ice Age 3: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs Review

I love how the Ice Age movies doesn’t seem to bore me at all.  Usually most sequels lost the thrill because they have exerted all story lines in the earlier movies.  Compared to other movies who has to dig to the past of a character to have a new plot, this movies goes forward.  I love how all the main characters in the movie still evolves yet they stick to the core and still makes me laugh.

Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs an animation, comedy, adventure, romance, movie from 20th Century Fox which runs for about an hour and 35 minutes still stars the Sid, Manny, Sloth and Scrat.

Synopsis: The sub-zero heroes from the worldwide blockbusters Ice Age and Ice Age: The Meldown are back, on an incredible adventure…for the ages.  Scrat is still trying to nab the ever-elusive nut (while, maybe, finding true love); Manny and Ellie await the birth of their mini-mammoth, Sid the sloth creates his own makeshift family by hijacking some dinosaur eggs; and Diego the sabe-toothed tigher wonders if he’s going too “soft” hanging with his palss.  On a mission to rescue the hapless Sid, the gang ventures into a mysterious underground world, where they have some close encounters with dinosaurs, battle flora and fauna, run amuch – and meet a relentless, one-eyed, dino-hunting weasel named Buck.

I watched it in 3D cinema in Trinoma and honestly I wasn’t that much impressed compared to the IMAX Cinema at SM Mall of Asia.  I wasn’t sure though if it was the cinema’s problem or it was the 3D quality of the film so I guess I would have to see the same movie at SM Cinema’s IMAX just to make the right comparison.  Anyway, the characters didn’t popped out of the screen as compared to the Monsters Inc. movie I watched at SM Mall of Asia.   It just looked like a typical animated movie nothing really special.

  1. I heard from alot of people saying it was better than the first one. And of course I said I’ve never heard of a sequel being better than the first…..not possible…. Until i went with myself and had to admit it actually was.
