Follow Me On Yahoo! Meme

I first heard about Yahoo! Meme in Plurk couple of months ago and after learning about it I decided to create one.  But I didn’t understand its concept before and I though its just another space in cyberspace I can utilize for my personal consumption, like a diary.   I thought it was a perfect place to rant and dispose off all my negative vibes.

After the Blogs4Reviews Christmas party last December 17, 2009, I was enlightened.  Yahoo! Meme, according to Mr. Jonas De Los Reyes of Yahoo Philippines is created for internet users to share information, ideas, opinion, photos and the like faster, like a viral thingy or use it as a “catchphrase or concept that spreads rapidly via the internet”.  It is also pronounced as mim rhyming with cream.

A meme (pronounced as mim which rhymes with cream , is a postulated unit or element of ideas, symbols or practices and is transmitted from one mind to another through speech, gestures, rituals or other imitable phenomena.

Now I know, today I made my Meme,  Earth Captures , which I will use solely to share photographs I took or taken of me.   If you already have one please follow me. So far I only have 16 followers and are following 21 people .  I am still learning how to use the meme but so far I am having fun replying the comments and re-posted a funny line by Jonas.

Meme is so easy to use, following and re-posting is done with a click of a button.  Uploading is fast and you can see the updates of the people you are following on your dashboard.   I’m so addicted to it that I posted seven photos today showing some of my Holiday vacation in Boracay.  I just noticed one thing, there is no edit button/option.  I wish there was so one could correct misspelled words .
