The New Nora Aunor By Shinagawa Lasik And Aesthetic Center

It was all over the news this weekend Nora Aunor is coming back from the United States with her new look c/o Shinagawa Lasik and Aesthetic Center.  The Superstar was tapped as their first celebrity endorser with the goal of boosting the medical tourism here in the country and in whole Asia-Pacific by attracting foreign clients with their top-of-the-line services.

Nora Aunor is expectec to be back in the Philippines in April in time for the grand opening of the Shinagawa Lasik and Aesthetic Center Philippines branch that will be located at the Mezzanine, Tower 2, The Enterprise Center, 6766 Ayala Avenue cor. Paseo de Roxas, Makati City.

The Superstar was away from over 5 years and despite all the negative publicity and all the mishaps she has been through since she was away,  people are anticipating her come back, especially the Noranians.

I am excited to meet her personally and Shinagawa Lasik and Aesthetic Center Philippines can make this happen.

Nora Aunor and I are kinda on the same boat, same reason I want to meet her, we were and are being discriminated by our looks, because we are petite and dark skinned.  Our skills and achievements and our potential is always overshadowed by our looks.

Some are raising an eyebrow with the new Nora Aunor, they said, she looked better without the treatment than with it.   But she do look more confident and revitalized with her new look and she looks happy with it so, they have to see it for themselves.  I have to see it for myself. Nora Aunor will be and shall be the only Philippine Superstar. Nobody can ever come close to her achievements :

Her classic movie Himala was cited by CNN as one of the ten Best Asian Films of All Time. It also got the CNN APSA Viewers Choice Award for Best Asia-Pacific Film of All Time. Just recently, she also got nominated as one of the 10 Best Asian Actresses of the Decade in the Green Globe Film Awards along with established and acclaimed actresses across Asia like Maggie Cheung and Gong Li. And Nora is the only Filipino actress who made it to the elite list.

She has collected all the Best Actress trophies from various award-giving bodies like FAMAS, Star Awards, Film Academy of the Philippines, Metro Manila Film Festival, Young Critic’s Circle, and the Urian.

In 1995, she won as Best Actress at the Cairo International Film Festival for the Flor Contemplacion Story. She repeated the same feat in 1997 at the East Asia Film and Television Awards by clinching the Best Actress trophy for Bakit May Kahapon Pa and in 2004 at the Brussels Festival of Independent Films for Naglalayag.

Apart from Himala, The Flor Contemplacion Story, Bakit May Kahapon Pa and Naglalayag, she also starred in many critically-acclaimed classics like Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos, Minsa’y Isang Gamu-gamo, Atsay, Ina Ka ng Anak Mo, Bona, ‘Merika, Bulaklak sa City Jail and Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit. I used to have this office mate who is a Noranian who was so fond of me because she said I looked like Nora Aunor when she was younger. I got a kick out of it because I know we have a couple of things in common, were petite, dark skinned and long dark wavy locks when she was younger.
