Last Wednesday, November 10, 2010, I was in Cebu for the grand launch of Radisson Blu Hotel, the first Radisson Blu hotel in Asia Pacific. The place was gorgeous and is perfect venue for business , conventions and exhibitions, and even corporate incentives.
President Noynoy Aquino was there for the ribbon cutting event in the morning, while the who’s who of the higher society in Cebu was there for the Grand Opening Formal party in the evening where they raffled off an Audie 4!
Accommodations:
I was able to experience one of their business class deluxe rooms. They have 320 deluxe rooms, 3 accesible deluxe rooms (for the disabled) , 16 business class deluxe rooms,, 16 business class superior , 25 Executive Suites, 1 Deluxe Suite, and 1 Presidential Suite.
The room I was checked in was at the 5th floor the bed was huge made from super soft and comfy memory foam with goose feather pillows and duvets.
A 37 inch LCD TV with cable channels.
A spacious working area complete with a comfy office chair desk and FREE internet connection wired or wi-fi!
A reading chair with a contemporary coffee table beside it.
Well stocked mini bar and the price were so affordable!
The bathroom doesn’t have a bathtub but its understandble since its a business room but it has a hair dryer, iron and ironing board and a weighing scale and a safe that can fit a 15 inch laptop.
Beside the bed was an iPod docking system with alarm clock!
And a view of the Mactan Channel .
We checked out the Presidential Suite at the 21st floor. It was so elegant with contemporary interiors and furnishings. Check it out!
Dining and Entertainment
When we arrived we head immediately to the Feria, the hotel’s main dining outlet with a huge spread of breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets featuring international and local cuisine.
The dining area was huge and the iteriors were impressive.
Food was great, we had the super breakfast, lunch and dinner there and I wished I had more than one stomach for this.
The dining area was so adorable, I love the architecture, the woodworks, interiors, glass works, paintings and flooring was admirable.
The Lobby was huge and impressive. Its a nice venue to have your morning coffee, light snacks, or a soothing nightcap. I think the main attraction to the lobby was its stylish cocktail bar.
The Pool is another venue in the hotel to have your breakfast , lunch and dinner serverd ala carte outdoors. It has a bar beside the 800 square meter free form pool.
Meetings and Events
Radisson Hotel Cebu features spacious banquets and meeting facilities. High speed wireless interenet is available in all meeting rooms and ballrooms.
The Santa Maria Grand Ballroom is a perfect venue for grand dinner parties, weddings and other special occassions , it can seat up to 1,200 guests and has a 400 square meter pre-event area a perfect to holding area for VIP guests. The smaller venue is the Nina Ballroom that can hold up to 650 guests. Both venues can be divisible into smaller spaces and has complete amenities and equipment such as ceiling mounted LCDs and drop down screens .
Radisson Blu Executive Club Lounge serves complimentary breakfast and cocktails, use of a Lounge meeting room kinda like your personal office in the hotel.
This international upper upscale hotel is just a kilometer away from the Mactan International Airport and situated at the heart of Cebu City.
