iPad, aPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Cherry Mobile Superion, MyPad?

Are you inclined to buy a tablet?

I’m sure at one point you’ve been considering it now especially if you want a handy gadget that is not so heavy and you can take anywhere and can do almost everything you need from a desktop, laptop or netbook.

I’m such a practical person and I don’t like spending my money on something I would regret or want to replace after a few months.  Technology is like that these days, the turn-over is too fast that new and better versions come out in just after 6 months or less.

A couple of days ago I did a little survey among my Plurk friends to ask which android device would they choose: Apple iPad, China Clone aPad,  Samsung Galaxy Tab, HTC Sense, Cherry Mobile Superion or the Google Supported MyPad.  Price ranges from Php19,500 – Php37,000.

The response was great as I’ve learned so much from those who actually own an iPad and and aPad and did their research about the other android device I mentioned.

What I’m looking for in a tablet

One of the most important thing I’m looking for in a portable device is that I will be able to blog with it, that it has Wi-Fi capabilities (so I can blog, read emails, and have fun in my Social Networks), I can edit some photos, has office applications, a built-in camera (for chatting not for taking photos real camera quality is better with that), USB adaptors or SD card reader .  That’s all that I really need to do, I don’t play a lot of games so I’m fine with a 16GHZ and

The Apple iPad

One friend hated iPad for the fact that she can’t blog with it in her Blogspot supported blog.  But according to the others who has iPad they were able to blog with it,  I was able to blog with it in my WordPress supported blog. According to the users you can download the Blogpress app to be able to blog with your Blogspot supported blogs.

They suggested that I wait for the 2nd Generation iPad which will come out somewhere in March that comes with a cam.    So I guess I will be holding on buying any iPad until then.

Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Cherry Mobile Superion

A review from PinoyTech Blog made me wonder about the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Cherry Mobile Superion.  Price for the Cherry Mobile is Php19,500 while the Samsung Galaxy Tab is around Php32,000-Php37,000.  Huge price difference for the same specs I say.  The only difference they have was that the Cherry Mobile Superion runs with a Qualcomm MsM 722 600 MHz processor while the Galaxy Tab runs on a ARM Cortex A8 processor, 1GHZ processor; Power VR SGX540 graphics.

China made aPad
A friend told me not to bother buying one and don’t even get tempted for its super cheap price of Php5,000 because you will definitely get what you paid for.

MyPad

While I was window shopping at SM Cybermall in SM North EDSA I came across a MyPad, it’s Google supported as I saw it and went on learning more about it. Gadget Mix showed a nice video about how impressive the MyPad is running on an android 2.1 with 7 inches capacitive touch screen, running on a Qualcomm MSM7227 at 600MHz and 512MB of RAM, 16GB of flash memory, 3.5G modem. I saw one with a Wi-Fi capability. While this one has 3400mAh battery and rear facing camera. It weighs 388g. For connectivity it has bluetooth v2.1, micro SD card, audio jacks and micro USB.

They are all promising android gadgets right? So its really confusing which to choose. Should I go with the popular demand, or go with what I really really like. Personally I like the Samsung Galaxy Tab but its too expensive.

If you will buy any of this android gadgets which will you choose?
