Keeping it Simple – Wardrobe Basics

With a new season that’s barely beginning perhaps it’s time to revamp your wardrobe. Spring time brings with it new beginnings and so can your wardrobe! Think of some of the basics you need because often times it is easy to only buy articles of clothing you will rarely wear, such as a tie dyed top and a polka dot mini skirt. Even though it may not sound exciting to only own the basics, it’s important to start with simple pieces of clothing before continuously adding to your closet. Start with a black dress, white tee-shirt, boxer shorts for women, and other pertinent basics. Here’s a short list to get you started:

basic outfit

Skinny Jeans – Skinny jeans used to be just a trend, but today they are so much more. Depending on your shape and fashion preference, skinny jeans are a fashion favorite. Keep in mind that they look great if you can find the type that isn’t too tight, even though they are skinny jeans.

Boxer Shorts and Underwear – Forget about fancy underpants, it’s important to have the basics to lounge around in too! Sloggie boxer shorts from www.damart.co.uk are both comfy and perfect to add to your wardrobe basics. Find cotton rich boxer shorts with a wide waistband that will be perfect to wear under skirts, dresses, and more.

A Little Black Dress – As cliché as it sounds, a “little black dress” really does come in handy for a number of occasions. Wear it to a birthday party, girl’s night out, out on a date, or even to the office.

Cardigans – Layering matters! Add a few neutral colored cardigans to your closet, making it easy to grab one on – the –go when it’s cooler outside. White, beige, or black are all excellent colors for cardigans to own.

Ballet Flats – Sometimes wearing heels all of the time are a pain, quite literally. Keep a few pairs of ballet flats accessible, which will make it easy to grab a neutral pair when you’re going on a trip or need a backup pair of shoes when four inch heels are hurting your feet.

Black Pants – Black pants go with absolutely everything, and they work when you’re in a bind or don’t know what else to wear. Pair them with a basic tee or a sparkly tank for a nice dinner event. Always remember to pack black pants on a trip – you never know when you might need them or any of these articles of clothing mentioned above!
