Win A Giant Oishi Bag of Surprise from Team O!

Last October 1, Oishi and Team O members Ramon Bautista, Elmo Magalona, and Slater Young devised a very special O Wow surprise for young students in the Intramuros and Luneta area. O—a special jeep driven and occupied by these three celebrities in disguise, surprising those who came aboard by giving them Oishi snacks and hanging out for the duration of the ride.

Ramon Bautista recalled the positive reactions of students who looked like they just came from a difficult exam. “Natuwa talaga ako nung napa-O Wow namin yung mga tao, simpleng bagay lang pero napasaya na sila,” he said.

Elmo Magalona fondly remembers three sisters, two of whom were twins. “Tuwang-tuwa ako sa iba’t ibang reaction ng mga pasahero pero sila (sic) ang pinaka-favorite ko. Sila na nga yung pinakabata, nalaman ko pa na may kambal sa kanila at ka-birthday ko pa!” he added. One of the sisters said, “Ang bait-bait po ni Kuya Elmo—hinding hindi ko po siya malilimutan! Ang saya-saya po naming magkakapatid.”

The students who were able to hitch a ride in Jeep O reacted with generous servings of kilig ,upon seeing the celebrities. Slater Young had a pretty good time as well, and when he was asked what his favorite moment was, he couldn’t decide: Pero actually wala talaga akong particular na moment na mas naging favorite ko … kasi na-enjoy ko talaga yung buong experience!” says Young.

Oishi and Team O’s goal has always beeni to spread O, Wow! surprises to make every day not so everyday, and it’s safe to say that Jeep O did just that to the everyday commute. A few still delighted students from the Manila area would agree.
