Artisan handcrafted top quality is rare these days especially with the surge of machines and people want things in an instant. It was a delight to see a Master Astisan Shoemaker, Francesco De Santis, in person yesterday at the launch of the first Santoni boutique in the Philippines.

I enjoyed every minute watching him while he carefully and seriously do his craft.

Here are the Master Artisan Shoemaker tools he used:

If you want to have a specially crafted, one-of-a-kind handmade customized shoes by Mr. De Santis himself just for you, you should visit Santoni now (March 19,2014) and get your feet measured!

This is onenof the special services of Santoni that rarely happens in any Santoni branch worldwide. According to Ms.Edith Dychiao, Santoni Philippines Brand Manager, this service only happens when Mr. De Santis has a store visit in a certain country. No staff from their store is allowed to do such service, they called Be Spoke service, as only certifide Master Artisan Shoemaker can do such craft. “And it takes many years to perfect a craft so this is a service only done by Mr. De Santis himself.”

The BeSpoke service has a special price and it depends on what style of shoe and material you want done. It also takes 5 months before you can actually get your shoes and wear it. They will deliver it right at your doorstep!
Having a tour around the Santoni store and having touched and feel each shoe, I can say they are really top quality and the craftmanship is amazing!

Look at the ladies shoes!

Love this loafer! The color and design is fab and classy!

This sexy stilleto with an ethnic touch!

And this lovely sandals. Sigh.
They have a new collection out the Santobi Spring Summer 2014 collection but they are not yet at the Philippine store as of the launch. It will be here by end of March they said.
It was a honor to meet Mr. De Santis really, on of the very few people in the world who practice and studied the Artisan Shoemaking.

The first Santoni branch in the Philippines is located at the East Wing 2nd Flr of Edsa Shangri-la Mall. Wanna know the price of a Santoni shoe? Ask me haha!
Stay gorgeous everyone!
