So, we went to Century City Mall today to watch Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles movie and I must say I enjoyed the movie a lot! Hats off to Dingdong Dantes for a well executed movie. The editing was great, the script was outstanding, graphic effects was impressive! Good job direk Erik Matti.
Lotlot de Leon was absolutely hilarious! The punchlines were seamlessly delivered. Joey Marquez and Lotlot deLeon make a good comedy tandem in this film. I think Lotlot should win an award for this I haven’t seen her like this before it was a revelation.
Isabel Daza was also good especially with the fight scenes and her acting was getting better and better it was no surprise she got an acting award before.
The fight scenes were engaging.
Not that impressed with KC Montero. But great selection of cast. Although Lovi Poe was replaced and that Ramon Bautista wadls disguised to be someone else in the 2nd installation. Remember he was the cousin on the 1st movie?
I can’t wait for the 3rd Aswang Chronicles Movie and see what Marian Rivera will do. Ooops sorry for the spoiler.
I am not surprised by the Grade A Kubot movie got as the effects was definitely world class. And yes movie was also good for kids Tasha was there when we watched. It was kinda good to let kids watch this movie for a reason I could not tell yet coz it will spoil the suspense.
I’ll write a longer much more scrutinized review when all else have seen it.
