TUMI is proud to celebrate 40 years of making a jetsetter journey more fashionable with their excellent design and outstanding innovation on luggages. To mark this anniversary TUMI unveils an exclusive, commemorative commissioned piece/pieces and a limited edition collection.
The brand has engaged two leading designers in Asia to imagine what the future might look like. Kenneth Cobonpue, a renowned Filipino Industrial Designer and fellow TUMI Global Citizen Jamy Yang, an award-winning Industrial Designer from China, who is also a former TUMI Asia Global Citizen, both created original designs for TUMI’s special anniversary that will be displayed at TUMI’s 40′ anniversary events around Asia.

The commemorative pieces are not for sale.

The 1975 collection embodies the meticulous craftsmanship, technical innovation and functional superiority that TUMI is renowned for and pays homage to the brand’s heritage and original design. In the Philippines, the 1975 collection was launched at TUMI’s 40th anniversary event held at the Kenneth Cobonpue Showroom in Makati last May 7,2015.

The 1975 40 Anniversary Collection
Founded by Charlie Clifford, TUMI started life as an importer of leather goods from South America to the United States. Charlie’s vision was to revolutionize travel through the introduction of style and durable bags and accessories that would make life on the road easier and more enjoyable.
Each piece of the 1975 collection is crafted from natural, full grain cowhide leather similar to the variety TUMI originally imported. TUMI’s signature ballistic nylon is also incorporated into the collection.
