If you check my fragrance cupboard you will see dozens and dozens of fragrances, from the most expensive to the more affordable ones. I love collecting fragrances as much I love collecting perfume bottles. So, when I got the invitation for the Atkinsons launch in Manila and the launch of their new fragrances, I was not a snob at all, I said yes immediately, they had me at fragrances.

We were invited to come to the event in British fashion for an afternoon tea at Pangea in the City of Dreams Manila. The venue and the event theme, screams of elegance already.

 

 

At the venue, I saw this dapper bear. I just can’t help but sit beside him in wonder.

 

 

The story of this growly bear started in 1799 when James Atkinsons was out in the wild of Cumberland in England searching for fine new scents. He found this bear sitting beside a sizeable quantity of rose-scented bear grease balm. After the trip, the balm and the bear went home with Atkinsons and the rest was history!

 

 

Atkinsons, “that marvellous perfume shop with the most terrifying bear” become the official perfumer to the Royal Court of England and to the most aristocratic and exclusive clientele worldwide. After a most delightful hibernation, Atkinsons and its growly bear have awoken from their slumber totally refreshed and revived.

heritage and imperishable commitment to making the highest echelons of society as fragrant and delectable as humanly possible, Atkinsons ushers in a new century of perfume snobbery with their newest collections.
