Since the quarantine, all I did was make video content online a.k.a. vlogs because it helps keep me sane during these insane times. With that, I need to have a better laptop with a huge memory capacity great processor, and of course pretty cute, like me hahaha!
It was such a sweet surprise when I got for my birth month the World’s Smallest Laptop! The ASUS ZenBook 14 UX435EG!
ASUS Zenbook 14 World’s Smallest Laptop
What's Inside
I would have to agree with this claim, it is so thin and lightweight. Imagine it is just a little over 1 kilogram, 1.19kg to be exact. It is so slim at 16.9mm thin it’s as thin as my pointy finger (I have very small hands!).
It also comes with a 14-inch FHD display with incredibly slim 2.6mm 4-sided NanoEdge bezels that result in a screen to body ratio of 92%. The big and clear screen is just so easy to work on!
I love the classic spun-metal finish, this is the Pine Grey color but it also comes in Lilac Mist. I personally would have picked the girly color but I am loving the Pine Grey because it can camouflage and be less attractive to thieves haha!
The ScreenPad 2.0
As soon as I turned on my new ASUS ZenBook 14, I was so excited to explore the ScreenPad 2.0 and so far this is now my favorite feature because it can double as the NumberPad and TouchPad. It can also play as a second screen so I can multi-task. Like, watch a Live Stream while I write my article! Hah!
I also can do handwriting with the ScreenPad which is really awesome!
Ports, Charger and Connectors
As soon as I powered this baby on I immediately went looking for the charger and power connector and I was surprised that it is built differently. Now it has the USB C Type C Charger. ZenBook 14 includes a full complement of I/O ports, including full-size HDMI and USB Type-A ports. The power of Thunderbolt™ 4 is also at your disposal, with two USB-C® ports. For easy data transfers from mobile devices, there’s also a microSD card reader.
OS and Performance
It is built with an i7 processor Intel 11th Gen Processor Tiger Lake MX450 Graphics which is one of the specs I am looking for for my new laptop because of less lag and less delay of all the things I need to do, I multi-task with multiple windows on my screen!
Another amazing factor to get this ASUS ZenBook 14 is that it is pre-installed with a licensed MS Office 2019 ! Excel files and word docs yay!
AUDIO and VIDEO
I am isolated at home since we were locked down for almost a year now! All my events are online and I mostly use Zoom and Facebook for meetings and live streaming. I love the clarity of this laptop, no wonder it was made by Harman Kardon. It also has this noise-canceling feature that filters out my daughter’s noises when I am in a meeting!
I could say so much more with my first impression of the ASUS ZenBook 14 UX435 but I will save it for another day as I dive into this new lappy of mine! Actually, , but wait for my full review and my video unboxing so you can see my actual reaction when I unboxed this baby!
