A Day at the Sony Expo 2008

I was psyched to be among the lucky 50 bloggers to receive a VIP pass privileged to witness a demonstration of Sony’s design and innovation prowess when it comes to advancements in personal electronics and robotics.

December 6, 2008, 11AM, students and consumers were already lined up at the Sony Expo registration area of the SMX Convention Center Hall 3. But since I had the VIP pass from Nuffnang getting in was a breeze . The Nuffnang staff were very friendly awaiting our arrival , after having a feel of the Sony VAIO upon registration, we were handed our VIP ID while initial photos were taken. A Sony Expo staff was close by awaiting to usher us to our table by the activity area.

By the doorway, a masked man in black gave free drinks to people who are coming in to look around at the amazing interactive display of gadgets inside the Sony Expo. Lunch were served before the program started and a musical serenade for entertainment as we munch on our food . Sony Philippines top executives delivered short speeches afterwards.

The main event for the program was the announcement of the winner for the My First Sony Experience blog contest by Nuffnang. It was a deserving entry indeed as Mike, the blogger behind the winning entry, displayed very old photographs with atleast three Sony products on it, all were produce of his OFW dad, whom he paid homage for in that blog post. KC Conception, being an endorser of Sony Cybershot was there to liven the event as she hand-over the T700 Cybershot to Mike as his prize for the winning blog entry. Three runners-up were also chosen and was given a Sony Music Player each.

After that some fun and games was held hosted by KC and the DJ . Then comes my favorite part the chance to look around and explore all the colorful Sony gadgets on display at the Sony Expo.

The Sony Expo was open to all to give everyone the feel of Sony’s products and to give consumers the opportunity to get professional product advice so consumers can take full advantage of the Sony products they want to purchase. This event was a real glimpse of what’s it’s like to be a part of the exciting world of Sony and get an experience like no other!

My favorite part of the Sony expo 2008 was when I was able to try out the products and was able to personally unwrap wonders of technological breakthroughs by Sony. Having the first hand experience with their audio and visual masterpieces is something that definitely made my visit at the Sony Expo 2008 worthwhile. Align CenterThis gadget is really impressive. The Sony Expo was full of people and the place was loud in a pleasant manner since it was a display of audio and visual masterpiece. But despite this, I was able to completely enjoy the music I was listening to without distractions. It was amazing how Sony’s NWZ-S730: the only portable music in the world with Noise Canceling Technology, was able to cancel out 75% of the ambient noise that was obviously present at the expo. I can attest that with this portable device you can relax and enjoy music even in the most crowded spots!

I must confess, I went to the expo with the desire to own this beauty. I definitely want to take this one home. I believe only Sony can bring to life a notebook computer with superb computing performance and mobility to suit even the busiest lifestyle. Its light and compact and so easy to use. For someone who is always on the go and frequent noisy environments, flying on an out-of-town trip or out-of-the-country getaway, or just having a coffee at the famous local coffee shop with free Wi-fi access, I can simply ignore the noise and enjoy the superior sound quality of my music or movie with the VAIO that has the capability to reduce external noise. All because VAIO is equipped with a Noise Canceling circuit bundled with a Noise Canceling Headphones. My blog looks good on its screen, see? (So Sony Philippines and Nuffnang, please give this darling to me! Christmas and Birthday gift rolled in one? Please! *kneels and begs like a puppy*)

You wouldn’t know the difference until you see the difference and I’ve seen it with this visual masterpiece! Words couldn’t simply describe how I discovered the difference between watching TV and experiencing it. I was truly enthralled by the vibrant lifelike colors made possible through the RGB Dynamic LED Backlight first introduced for KLV-70X350A now available on the new BRAVIA 55x450A and 46X450A Series. That TV would look really good on my bedroom wall!

One of the gadgets that Sony makes that I simply admire are their cameras and this DSLR camera is something I have my eyes on! Imagine the highest mega pixel of all DSLR cameras! Do you realize what perfection and beauty of images you can capture with this remarkable new 24.6 mega pixel 35mm full frame Exmor CMOS sensor Alpha 900’s. Its high pixel count and large size assures enhanced image detail and wider dynamic range that enables colors and subtle tonal gradations to be captured just as the human eye perceives them. I was amazed by the awesome detail of the photos I took with it. It wowed me so much that I just want to have it! I also think this camera is good when shooting long range or sporting events.

This is something fashionistas would definitely want to have. KC conception owns one. It’s ultra slim with its 13.0 mm size. Cyber-shot T77 (13.9 mm) also has Optical Steadyshot that incorporates Sony’s Optical Image Stabiliser to effectively eliminate image blur caused by unstable handheld shots! It is also easier to navigate because of it’s touch screen capabilities. It’s a camera you can use as fashion accessory paired with your favorite neck strap, you would definitely turn heads!

Are you a couch potato by chance? Well sink yourself more in that couch and bask yourself in excitement from watching action-packed movies with this awesome creation by Sony. Feel every scene, catch every move, feel the intensity and feel the speed right from your own television screen. It felt like I was on the scenes I was watching! The new BRAVIA Z Series is equipped with Motionflow 240Hz, the World’s first quadruple speed at 240 frames/sec to improve the clarity of fast moving objects. It’s motion beyond compare.

8) Earthlingorgeous explored the World’s First Digital Noise Canceling Headphones

At the instance the Sony representative let me wear this headphones I heard the big difference. It indeed minimized the background noise to like almost inaudible. If you think the headphones you use for your MP3 players or IPods is a great companion to enjoy your music while traveling then think again. This world’s first Digital Noise Canceling Headphone is amazing that it cancels out 99% of ambient noise. You can set the headphones to different setting depending on where you are, airplane, bus, MRT, cab, school, office, mall or coffee shop as it has 3 Noise Canceling modes: airplane, bus and office with artificial intelligence feature that allows it to automatically scan the environment and select optimum Noise Canceling profile. Once you try this gadget out I think you’d definitely want to grab one, this is one great music companion!

With the first hand experience I had with all of these 8 World Breakthroughs innovations and the impression left, undoubtedly Sony Philippines is in the forefront of finding newer and more efficient ways to enjoy life. The Sony Expo 2008 was indeed a proud showcase of their cutting-edge technologies that will be the standard in display and entertainment of the future. Well done Sony! My day at the Sony Expo was indeed an experience like no other!

I’ve been a good girl this year despite my little quirks. I wish for the Sony VAIO as a Christmas present and a birthday present all rolled in to one. I know my birthday is next year but I will take this one single gift! Please
talk to Nuffnang and to the Sony top honchos especially Mr. Toshiya Kogita and Mr. Takashi Kozu tell them to let Earthlingorgeous win and make her a happy forever and ever after! Amen.
