I saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince at SM City North EDSA IMAX theater today and honestly I didn’t like it . Aside from the laughs it gave in a number of scenes because of it’s humor I feel the movie, in spite of it’s 2 and a half hour showtime, did not impress me much. In short, I didn’t like it! Yeah sure the effects were great but honestly I feel it was too shallow. Maybe because I was expecting too much.
But really, my nephew was a fan of the books and he read them all he didn’t fell in love with the movie as much as he did with Transformers 2. I think most of the moviegoers agree with us in this. People were too silent after the last scene unfolded and the credits came out. Going out you can here them say “That’s it?” “That’s all?” “This is what I paid P400 for?”
Oh well I should laud their PR for making a big hype out of the movie! I am glad Ron Weasley was there, most of my laughs came from him in the movie. In case you are planning to watch it in IMAX I suggest you watch it in the regular theater, IMAX is not worth it except for the first 12 minutes of the movie.

@ Civ yeah the IMAX for Harry Potter was not good. But with the right movie I think you will definitely hear more and see more the movie Monsters Inc. was so nice in 3D awesome and I saw it at IMAX in SM MOA
