Parental Advisory

More often than not parents who are away from their kids most of the times try to make-up for the lost times by giving their kids material things.  Little did they know that although the kid appreciate the stuff given its hardly ever gonna fill the moments that could have been shared together.  They bought know that but has to live with the truth that they mom or dad has to earn a living.

The kid will accept that the parent will make-up by giving him stuff he wants without having to work for it.  The parent will keep on giving without realizing that wrong values this is doing to his child.

I know someone likes this.  He gives his child the best toys he can ever have and anything he wanted, until the time came that he doesn’t stops asking anymore.  Now he wants a motorcycle because he saw a college friend riding those hot wheels in school.  Now the parent doesn’t want to give it to his son because he had a traumatic experience with one before.  He was riding one before and one day he and his best friend went for a round, they were having too much fun not wearing a helmet and they crashed.  The accident injured him some and crippled his best friend for life.

What do you think the parent should do in this situation?
