Who says a bra was invented for one purpose only? Think again.
Inventors Elena Bodnar, Raphael Lee and Sandra Marijan of Chicago proved that the bra doesn’t just serve to protect womans bosoms but can also double as a pair of protective gas masks in emergency cases.
The above named inventors created a patent bra where each of a bra’s cup sections is fitted with a filter device, that a wearer can whip it off and detach each section to fit it over the face.
The said inventors won the Public Health award on one of the awards handed out at the prestigious Harvard University for the year’s most eccentric research, the Ig Nobels.
The Igs, as they are known, are chosen by the Annals of Improbable Research magazine to highlight scientific achievements that according to its website “first make people laugh and then make them think.”
Well it did made me laugh when I read about this news at MSN. It reminded me when I was 6 year old playing with my moms bra and wear it over my eyesas a head gear to look like the Mask Rider Black!
Anyway the bra and gas mask in one is not sold anywhere yet but who knows one day your favorite undergarments store will have one on sale!
