Six Feet Under

Six Feet Under is a drama series by HBO that won numbers of awards from Emmy and the Golden Globe.  The show focuses on a cathartic journey of a certain family, the Fisher family,  runs an independent funeral home in LA.   The show is now on its fifth season and if you have been watching the show its amazing how it’s writer was able to creatively allow each of the main characters to embrace the cycle of life – birth, death, and rebirth.

The show is co-written and executive produced by Alan Ball, who wrote the hit film American Beauty. Season Five directors include Mary Harron (HBO Films’ The Notorious Bettie Page) and Joshua Marston (HBO Films’ Maria Full of Grace), with SFU executive producer Alan Poul returning as a director, and creator Alan Ball slated to direct the series finale.

Its amazing how the characters of the show are able to make working at a funeral parlor interesting and not scary. Probably because of the show there are people who would like to find morgue assistant jobs.   Do you think you would be interested working in a funeral parlor?  Personally I won’t even if it’s the last job on earth.  Dead bodies creeps me out.
