When our country was devastated with typhoon Ondoy, Pepeng and Reming the world was there to help us. Now it’s our turn to help.
More than 100,000 deaths were recorded during the earthquake in Haiti on January 13, 2009 that hit magnitude 7 on the Ritcher scale. There are ten thousands more who were left homeless and distressed.
A report I heard over the weekend said they here mourns under the buildings that collapsed. Electricity and communication remains unstable at the moment.
There are dozens of governments, organizations and nonprofits around the world are mobilizing to provide relief. Bloggers can help by joining the awareness campaign by Bloggers Unite which will be launched on January 19, 2010.

You can also help more by donating via American Red Cross through their International Response Fund, which provides immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support. There is also Doctors Without Borders in Haiti who is seeking volunteers and donations.
