For someone who is supposedly watching her diet I went on a food trip with food bloggers at Venize Piazza in McKinley Hills for a pre-Valentines dinner and to sample dishes from two of their resident restaurants Old Vine and Kuse Traditional Filipino Cuisine.
Both restaurant serve a different type of menu, Old Vine serves Mediterranean dishes while Kuse as the name already implies serves traditional Filipino dishes. Both restaurant has the same owner. Larry Cortez is one of the managing partners of the restaurant and was with us the entire night.
Mr. Cortez with his partner forgot his name sorry is in the restaurant business for 21 years and they own several other restaurants including Chefs’ Quarters at Eastwood Libis.
Browsing through my photos I just realized we tried 12 dishes and 4 desserts on top of the rice and two Grape shakes.

uy ang ganda ng interiors ng Kuse ha, you are lucky to be invited on food events, or lucky ba talaga? eh sira sira ang diet haha
Yes, rice is fine. In fact, the carbohydrates will help you fall asleep quicker and get better rest. Carbs aren’t the devil, and nighttime eating isn’t the awful thing it’s made out to be. It doesn’t really cause weight gain, but can cause indigestion if you overeat or eat the wrong things. Go enjoy your rice!
