Three Empowered Women In Alice In Wonderland

I am so loving the plot of Alice in Wonderland, a movie Directed by Tim Burton and will be shown in theaters everywhere starting March 4, 2010 ( in Manila and March 5, 2010 in US, Canada, UK). Why? Because it features three different women with different characters and virtues both all have the power to change the world they are in with their determination.

Take Alice for example, in the movie she will return to Wonderland as a 19 year old woman to fulfill her destiny and get re-acquainted with The Red Queen and The White Queen along the way who are exactly the opposite of each other.

They are all equally empowered women. However,  one used her powers to do good things, the other used it to oppress other, while one don’t believe much about her ability to make an impact and don’t use their power any way at all.

The Red Queen as portrayed by Helena Bonham Carter

The White Queen as portrayed by Anne Hathaway

Alice as portrayed by Mia Wasikowska

This much awaited Alice in Wonderland movie version of  Walt Disney as Directed By Tim Burton  staring Mia Wasikowska and Johnny Depp just to name a few will be showing in Philippine theaters nationwide starting March 4, 2010 with an exclusive IMAX 3D screening at  SM North EDSA IMAX Theater.
