Kids these days would rather go to the mall and play in the arcades than visit the Zoo and learn about animals and the wild life. Or it could be that parents rarely have time to take their kids for a whole day trip out-of-town and visit the Zoo. I’m glad there are places like the SM SkyGarden, where kids and the young at heart can enjoy and learn fascinating things about animals and the wildlife with this Sky Garden Safari Adventure launched April 17, 2010.
The SkyGarden Safari Adventure features 16 wild animals that can be found in South Africa or Safari. Life-sized stuffed animals are scattered all over the 13,000 sq.m floor area of SM North Edsa SkyGarden for everyone to admire and be amazed. You can take a picture with them but you are not allowed to hold. Life-sized stuffed animals such as elephant, lion, tiger, cheetah, gorilla, baboon, rhinoceros, vulture, zebra, giraffe, crocodiles, ostrich, pink flamingo and more are there. Beside the display are large poster telling you information about the animal, there is a small podium on each animal display with a pamphlet in regular alphabet and in braille.
There is a booth near the SkyDome where you can take a photo with a live baby crocodile, a snake and a cockatoo for Php100 and have a printed copy of your photo too. The SkyGarden Safari Adventure exhibit is open until May 31, 2010
