I always thought that a the Smoky Eyes Look only applies to the dark eyeshadow shades ergo the “smoky” effect, but when I got Avon’s True Color Eyeshadow Quad Smoky Eyes Quad with lighter shades in it, I had to do my research.
With what I learned the dark smoky eyes look applies to those who want to make their eyes smaller while the light smoky eyes look applies to those who want to make their eyes look bigger. (Anyone can correct me if I’m wrong I’m not a makeup artist I’m just a beginner learning on my own)
Consider this my post my EOTD (Eye of the day). I used the Q801 Smoky Eyes Quad by Avon True Color with four shades in it:
“
- White Pearl
- Privately Pink
- Moonlight
- Steel
Color swatches:
The Privately Pink shade is very light almost unnoticeable its just a very light hint of pink. I love how each shade kinda shimmers.
How to use:
I did as instructed on the packaging:
What I think about it?
- I love discovering that there’s another way to go smoky eyes and not look like you have black eyes or somebody punched you in the face.
- If you like to get more hints of the pink shade apply it more than twice.
- The white pearl is very pigmented so is the steel so one to two application will do.
Have you tried another version of the smoky eyes effect? Did you go darker or lighter? Share?
Stay gorgeous everyone
