Toilet Paper Wedding Dress

I feel half-hearted about using toilet paper as my wedding dress. I mean seriously?

Pros:

  • Its cheap and will save you lots of money.
  • Its biodegradable so its environment friendly.
  • You are assured to wear the most unique one of  kind dress ever.
  • You will use your wedding gown once in your lifetime only so why not use something that doesn’t take space in your storage, right?
Cons:
  • I’m not sure it will last the wedding ceremony.
  • Gosh its toilet paper and should stay where it should be, in the toilet.
Its a no brainer but hey take a look at these beautiful crafted toiled paper wedding gowns.  They are the winners for the  7th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest!
Wedding Gown #1

Created by Susan Brennan from Orchard Lake, MI! She used 4 rolls of toilet paper to created this wedding dress that won her $1,000.00! She used hot glue and packing tape to keep the dress together. She also added flowers and feathers and balanced the dress with pleats on the bodice.

Wedding Dress #2

Created by Laura Lee from Milpitas, CA. This gown won her $500.00. Using 5 rolls of one-ply Toilet Paper, transparent duct tape, first aid tape and spray adhesive, she and her friend Michelle put the dress together.

Wedding Dress #3

Cynthia Richards from Marietta, GA created this dress and won her $250.00. Using 20 rolls of toilet paper, duct tape, hot glue, mod pdge glue and fabric glue to put up this gown together. She was assisted by her 8 year old daughter Rainey and was inspired by a friends dream wedding dress.

What I can say is that the designs are getting prettier each year.  The designers are very creative and dedicated people to create such beautiful wedding dresses out of nothing!  Kudos to all of them, I heard there are 1,000 entries for this contest this year! Woot!

Now you’ve seen how a toilet paper wedding dress looks like, what do you think?

So, I have ideas about wedding dresses and wedding ceremonies but how to care for your engagement ring is something I really don’t think about.  I lost mine.  How about you?

Stay gorgeous everyone!

i’m still skeptical in using a toilet paper as my wedding dress, what if the rain suddenly pours and there’s no umbrella around? 😀
