FOTW: Rehab – Amy Winehouse Inspired Look

I’ve been listening to and watching a lot of Amy Winehouse songs and videos since she died and I kinda like her bouffant hair and her exaggerated cats eyes look.  So, for this week I did an Amy Winehouse inspired look from her latest hit Rehab.

The Look

My version

Amy Winehouse trademark look is characterized by very emphasized eyes with dark and thick eye liner something you can call an exaggerated cat eyes look.

What I used:
Eyes

• Dream Girl Uptown Girl Liquid Eye Liner (Black)
• Revlon Color Stay Liquid Eye Liner (Black)
• The Body Shop Special Edition Kajal Eyeliner (Black)
• Wet and Wild I Got Good Jeans (just the blue shade and yellow gold though)

Face

• Pure Beauty UV White Sun Protection Compact
• Mary Kay Foundation Primer
• L’Oreal True Match Concealer

Cheeks

• Revlon Matte Powder Blush (Blushing Berry)

Lips

• Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick (Temptress & Primrose)

How I did it?

Line the eyes with a thick coat of eyeliner. I used the Dream Girl Liquid Eye Liner first because it has the darkest and shiniest shade of black and slant towards the temple. Then followed by the Revlon Liquid Eye Liner at the edges. Using a think angular eye shadow brush, coat the lined part with the Blue shade from the Wet and Wild Eye shaddow. Then some more just near the water line and lower eyelash to create a smokey effect. Brush a yellow gold eye shaddow on the rest of the eyelids up to below the brow bone.  Line the water line with The Body Shop Kajal eyeliner to make the look much stronger!

To complete the look apply a light shade of lipstick and a little blush below the temple of the cheeks.

So, what do you think of my version?

I think I can wear this for the Twilight movie premiere or for a Halloween party or an Emo/Rock themed party.  Not for everyday look, its hard to remove black eyeliner!
